              2014年5月,福建农林大学园艺植物生物学及代谢组学研究中心(简称园艺中心)成立,邀请国际顶尖专家担任学术指导委员,并招募了一批拥有出色学术水平的中青年学者担任课题组长。园艺中心采用与国际接轨的科研管理制度,建设先进的科研平台,努力开展国际一流的科学研究。

        

              2015年5月,园艺中心与美国加州大学河滨分校共建FAFU-UCR园艺生物学及代谢组学联合中心(网址http://fafu-ucr-hbmc.ucr.edu/ ),园艺中心和加州大学河滨分校IIGB的骨干科研人员将同时作为联合中心成员,促进双方在科研合作、交流,研究生的共同培养等方面深入合作。

        

              园艺中心聚焦农业的重要科学问题,将在模式植物(拟南芥、大豆等)及福建省主要园艺作物(茶叶、藜麦、草莓、番茄、青梗菜等)中,运用代谢组学和细胞生物学等手段开展前沿研究,立志在短期内取得一批学术成果,并成为具有国际影响力的高水平研究中心。

        

      FAFU Horticultural Plant Biology and Metabolomics Center (HBMC) is founded in May, 2014. Research in HBMC is under the supervision of the scientific advisory committee. The center has recruited a group of young principal investigators with excellent academic ability, developed cutting-edge research platforms, and been aiming to conduct frontier researches.

        

      FAFU-UCR Joint Center for Horticultural Plant Biology and Metabolomics under IIGB and Haixia Institute of Science and Technology (HIST) was established in May, 2015. In order to promote the deep cooperation in scientific research, the core faculties of HBMC and IIGB will both serve as members of the joint center.

        

      Researches in HBMC include both model plants (Arabidopsis, Soybean, etc.) and major horticultural crops in Fujian (such as tea, quinoa, strawberry, tomato, green cabbage etc.), utilizing metabolomics and cell biology.  The center wants to answer important biological questions in these areas, and build a world-wide-reputation in the near future.
